While far short of victory, I believe much good came from the campaign. On however limited a scale we got out the message of small government, real tax relief by cutting government spending and the need to defend our personal liberties. I remain committed to the issues I made central to my campaign, such as reform of DYFS and the legalization of marijuana. I assure you I will continue to work for all of them, and for the entire Libertarian Party program.
In the days ahead I'll be considering how best to proceed. I was heartened by the response I received from voters and I believe more than ever that we need to elect libertarians to public office at all levels. The election of Jim McGreevey as Governor, with his tax-and-spend programs, makes the need even greater.
